Villa Rica’s Wastewater Collection System has achieved Gold Award status by the Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP) for 100 percent permit compliance in 2015 at its wastewater treatment facilities. The GAWP is a nonprofit association that began the first licensure program for Georgia water professionals in 1932, providing training for water and wastewater operators in the state of Georgia. Villa Rica Public Works Director Pete Zorbanos honored Wastewater Superintendent David Henson and the entire wastewater division at the June 7, 2016 City Council Meeting.
