On Friday, September 9th, you are invited to attend the city’s “9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance” where we will honor first responders, all service men and women, as well as those lost, and those who rose in service after the 2001 attacks.
Hear Interim Mayor, Shirley Marchman, guest speakers, John Hannabach and Pastor Derek Porter of Villa Rica First United Methodist Church, as they share words of self-sacrifice, love, hope and freedom. Join us for a moving National Anthem performance, beautiful, patriotic songs performed by the Thomas Dorsey Birthplace Choir, as well as a presentation of colors by the VRHS AFJROTC.
Be sure to bring your lawn chair/s for this hour service.
