Changes are in store for one of Newnan’s most popular family fun destinations. Junction Lanes owner Ryan Huber says he is excited to unveil the fun center’s new upgrades beginning in November.
“We’re going to be adding a 6,500-square-foot arcade that will have 65 total games for people to play,” said Huber. “The games will have 100 player positions as some games allow more than one player. All the games will be equipped with the newest swipecard technology instead of the old coin systems.”
Huber said Junction Lanes is also adding six large climbing walls that will each be 26-feet-tall and will vary in difficulty, making the climbing walls enjoyable for people of all ages.
“We’re also going to be opening a bumper car arena called the ‘Spin Zone’ which will be a little different from your traditional bumper cars,” said Huber. “When you hit someone or get hit, your car will spin, and the ride operator can also cause people to spin without warning. It’s a really fun kind of attraction that’s unlike anything around this area.”
Huber noted that Junction Lanes’ goal is to increase its appeal to local residents as being different than just your typical bowling alley.
“We really wanted to create some fun new things that people would enjoy in addition to our 40 bowling lanes that we currently have,” said Huber. “After the Spin Zone opens, we will be adding nine holes of glow golf where the current arcade is now.”
Junction Lanes plans to unveil the new arcade on November 16 with the Spin Zone opening in early December. The new Glow Golf course will open in January. Upgrades will also be made to the Junction Lanes’ menu items, including hot dogs, burgers, pizza, and more.
“We’re thrilled to offer more things for families to do and for them to come out and enjoy time together and create some memories,” said Huber. “We wanted to create some things that you don’t really find around in the area. We’re excited to invite everyone to come see the new Junction Lanes.”
