Decostar Drives Community-Focused Achievement

The automotive supplier, Decostar Industries, Inc. in Carrollton was recognized for a 2019 Georgia Automotive Award by the Georgia Department of Economic Development. 

In a press release, Pat Wilson a GDEcD commissioner says, “The automotive industry in Georgia continues to drive innovation and growth in every corner of our state, with access to a top-ranked workforce and world-class business climate. The winners of this year’s awards represent some of the leading manufacturers and suppliers in the automotive sector, and I look forward to working with them to continue creating opportunity and maintain Georgia’s title as the number one place in the nation to do business.” 

Decostar Industries, Inc., a division of Magna Exteriors, received the highly distinguished Community Impact Award for strongly demonstrating a high level of corporate citizenship in and around the community of Carrollton and state of Georgia. General manager Fadi Chabbouh tells us, “We started in late 2018 putting a plan into place for 2019 with the goal of being involved with several activities on a monthly basis in the community.”

Just last week several employees with Decostar walked in Carrollton’s Holiday Wishes Parade. 

Additionally throughout this year, employees have been involved with STEM classes in the area, March of Dimes 5K event, Magna Global 6K Walk for Water, Martin Luther King Junior Day Parade, along with the grand opening of a new facility which added employment. The company has also sponsored a number of events such as the University of West Georgia athletic program, Black Tie event at West Georgia Technical College, Chamber of Commerce barbeque event, Half Marathon with Tanner Health Systems, Decostar Breast Cancer 5K Walk, and many more since its opening in 2003.
