The Birches at Villa Rica promises one-of-a-kind senior living experience
As Tanner Health System prepares to welcome its first residents to The Birches at Villa Rica, the organization is giving other interested people an opportunity to tour the new senior living community.
Tanner Health System developed The Birches at Villa Rica in partnership with Cumming, Georgia-based Beacon Communities — an experienced operator of 13 communities throughout the Southeast — to offer safe, secure and accessible senior living and memory care options in west Georgia.
Now, Tanner is providing family caregivers and prospective residents of The Birches at Villa Rica the opportunity to tour the new facility on Aug. 5.
The 64-unit senior community will open in late summer, expanding Tanner’s mission of caring for an aging population in need of specialized housing, community and care.
Residents will have a variety of opportunities to stay active socially, physically, mentally and spiritually, and will enjoy amenities like a movie theater, salon, fitness center, multimedia room, restaurant-style dining and high-speed Wi-Fi.
In addition to seeing The Birches at Villa Rica’s facility amenities and residential apartments firsthand, the tours will give guests a look at the wellness programs Tanner is offering through its Get Healthy, Live Well initiative, helping with nutrition, chronic disease management, exercise and more. Residents also will have seamless access to a host of medical services provided by Tanner Health System, including primary care, specialists, home health and hospice.
To schedule a tour on Aug. 5, go to tanner.org/birchestour, choose a tour time and follow the on-screen instructions. Registration is required and tour times are flighted through the morning and afternoon to alleviate crowding and ensure social distancing.
The Birches at Villa Rica is accepting apartment reservations ahead of its late summer opening. The community is located at 201 Permian Way, next to the Tanner at Mirror Lake medical office building, home of Tanner Urgent Care/Villa Rica. The site is convenient to Interstate 20, Highway 78 and Highway 61.
