At the May 27th called Board of Education meeting, Zoe Evans was approved and announced as the Assistant Superintendent for Bremen City Schools. Ms. Evans will begin her employment on July 1, 2022.
Evans joins Bremen from Carroll County Schools where she has served in many roles since 2001, including teacher, assistant principal, and principal. Ms. Evans began her career as a science teacher in Ocala, Florida. She has taught at schools in four counties across two states.
A native Georgian, Ms. Evans earned a Bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education from West Georgia College. Additionally, she earned a Master’s degree and a Specialist degree in Middle Grades Science, both from the University of West Georgia. She added certification in Educational Leadership from the University of West Georgia in 2008. Evans also is certified as a Teacher Support Specialist, a National Board-Certified Teacher (2004), and a credentialed Georgia Master Teacher (2010). She is the 2005 Georgia recipient of the Presidential Award of Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.
Zoe Evans lives in Carrollton, Georgia, with her husband, Chris.
