Construction plans are back on the table for Popeyes! The new location would be located at 869 Poplar Road just east of Newnan Piedmont Hospital. In 2022 the proposed Popeyes popped up on our radar with a rezoning hearing that year. We’ve heard nothing since then on any progress. Updated plans are now under review by Coweta County.
Popeyes recently opened a location in Peachtree City near the Sprouts. Popeyes is one of the most popular fried chicken fast-food chains in the country. The restaurant chain was founded in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1972 and has since flourished into more than 2,600 restaurants in 40 states.
