After years of curiosity and “coming soon” signs, it looks like progress is finally underway for a new Dunkin’ Donuts location in Palmetto. Plans have officially been submitted, and the project at 8140 Roosevelt Highway is currently out to bid — a strong sign that construction is just around the corner.
This site is located just north of the McDonald’s and Circle K gas station, a spot that’s sparked plenty of local buzz over the past few years. While this location is slightly outside our pinpointed coverage area and into Fulton County, we wanted to keep our readers in the loop since we’ve received numerous tips and questions about this project.
The new building will also include space for another business, though details on that additional tenant have not yet been announced.
Interestingly, this comes not long after Tasty Donuts opened its doors earlier this year at 400 Carlton Road, Suite D, Palmetto, Georgia 30268. With both brands in town, it looks like Palmetto’s donut scene is heating up — and locals will soon have even more sweet options to choose from.
