Clothes Less Traveled Hosts Grand Opening Event on August 8 in Newnan

CLT Nonprofit Thrift Shop, a trusted name in affordable thrift shopping and community support since 1997, is proud to announce the grand opening of its second location in Newnan, Georgia, on Friday, August 8, 2025.

With a long-standing presence in Peachtree City, CLT has provided essential funding to dozens of local charities, scholarships to student volunteers, and free clothes and home essentials to neighbors in need. This is all possible due to CLT’s community of donors, volunteers, and shoppers. Now, with nearly half of its grantees based in Coweta County, CLT is bringing its mission-driven shopping experience closer to home for Newnan residents.

“Our new location addresses the increasing needs of the community,” stated Hope Brown, Executive Director of CLT. “Numerous nonprofits that we support are situated in Coweta; however, their supporters have not always been able to access our Peachtree City store. This new facility will serve to bridge that gap. We are enthusiastic about providing Newnan residents with the opportunity to shop, donate, and volunteer with a purpose.”

What to Expect

Located just six minutes from downtown Newnan, the new store will offer a curated selection of affordable, gently used clothing and home decor. While the space is significantly smaller than CLT’s flagship location, the impact will be just as big.

The Grand Opening will include free grilled hot dogs, special offers, and giveaways for shoppers.

No donations will be accepted at this location due to the limited staff and space.
