WGTC Foundation Announces ‘Old Hollywood Soirée’ for Annual Black Tie & Boots Event

The West Georgia Technical College Foundation is rolling out the red carpet for its 23rd Annual Black Tie & Boots fundraiser, set for Friday, September 19, 2025, at the Murphy Campus in Waco, Georgia. This year’s event will feature a touch of timeless glamour with an Old Hollywood Soirée theme, where sophistication meets celebration.

Entertainment for the night includes the return of the Platinum Southeast Premier Dance Band, known for their high-energy, interactive performances and a diverse, customized song list. Renowned as the ultimate party band, they deliver excellence from the first note to the final encore.

“We are excited to welcome back the Platinum Band to help us set the stage for a glamorous evening of music, dancing, and celebration,” said WGTC Foundation Executive Director Brittney Wells. “Their energy and talent will bring the perfect Old Hollywood flair to this unforgettable night in support of our students and mission.”

Black Tie & Boots, the Foundation’s premier annual event, offers guests an evening of fine dining, lively entertainment and community connection. Proceeds from the event help fund vital initiatives such as gap assistance, need-based scholarships, and other essential resources that enhance the student experience and strengthen the College as a whole.

“WGTC is grateful for our community and industry partners, and we work tirelessly to ensure we are providing them with the skilled workforce they need,” said Wells. “Black Tie & Boots is not only a fundraiser but also an expression of gratitude to those partners who champion our college and mission. With food, music, and fellowship, it’s a fun time for everyone.”
