Monica Murray Named 2026 Linda Pickelsimer Administrative Assistant of the Year

The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce has named Monica Murray, Chief Executive Assistant to the President at West Georgia Technical College (WGTC), as the recipient of the 2026 Linda Pickelsimer Administrative Assistant of the Year Award.

Murray was recognized and presented the award during the Administrative Assistant of the Year Luncheon, presented by Fred O’Neal. The annual award honors an outstanding administrative professional who exemplifies excellence, dedication, and service.

For more than 25 years, Monica has faithfully served WGTC in a variety of roles, becoming a trusted leader and steady source of support across the institution. Her professionalism, dedication, and servant-hearted approach make a lasting impact on everyone she works with. In her current role as Chief Executive Assistant to the President, Murray provides high-level administrative support, helping advance the college’s mission and strategic priorities.

The award highlights the critical role administrative professionals play in the success of organizations throughout Carroll County. It was established in memory of Linda Pickelsimer, Fred O’Neal’s beloved assistant and dear friend, whose legacy of excellence, loyalty, and service continues to be honored through this annual recognition.
