After More Than a Century, E.T. Doyal & Sons to Close as Jerry Doyal Retires

After more than 100 years in business and five generations of family ownership, E.T. Doyal & Sons will close its doors on July 31, 2026, as owner Jerry Doyal retires. A fixture in Downtown Villa Rica, the business has served generations of customers and has long been known for its selection of animal feed, seeds, and plants, supporting local families, farmers, and gardeners for decades.

In a message shared by the family, Jerry Doyal said it has been a privilege to serve the community throughout the years. The family expressed gratitude to the generations of loyal customers who have walked through the doors of E.T. Doyal & Sons, adding that while the store’s chapter is coming to an end, the memories and relationships built over the years will last a lifetime.

The community is invited to stop by before the store’s final day to share memories and wish Jerry well in his retirement. A farewell ceremony will be held on Friday, July 31, at 10 a.m., with additional details to be announced.
