For the month of October, we celebrate a local historian midwife Lizzie Bell Wilson. Lizzie Bell Ward Wilson was a midwife who delivered babies from the early 1900s until 1963. She was one of the few midwives who practice in the Carroll County area. Over 3,000 babies were delivered and are called “Bell Babies”. She died on November 6, 1964.

The Lizzie Bell Midwife Foundation will be on display from Oct 1-31, 2020 at the Villa Rica Public Library. Please stop by.
