Cover Me Southern Boutique in Bowdon will officially open to the public June 26th. The boutique will offer clothing, accessories, as well as a little girls accessories section with more than 300 hair bows. Nothing in the store is currently above $30 which makes it affordable for most. We know you might be wondering where they got the name Cover Me Southern and Melissa the owner told The Carrollton Menu that one of her friends Anna Turner came up with the name. Melissa’s husband is a firefighter and was hit by a truck while working the scene of an accident this past January. He was ultimately life flighted and they didn’t think he was going to make it. Melissa told The Carrollton Menu that the meaning of Cover Me Southern is that they believe God saved her husband with His wings and spared his life. Melissa said she is thankful that her husband is alive to see this dream they have had become a reality. Following the accident Melissa decided to stop traveling to trade shows selling jewelry and to open her own retail store. The store will be open Wednesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be closed Sunday through Tuesday. Visit them at 120 West College Street in Bowdon.
