New Villa Rica Library Breaks Ground

The Mayor, City Council of Villa Rica and West Georgia Regional Library officials on hand for today’s groundbreaking ceremony.

Residents of Villa Rica will soon have a new place for books and community events. The Mayor of Villa Rica along with the City Council and members from The West Georgia Regional Library System were on hand today to break ground on the new Villa Rica Library. The new facility will be at 869 Dallas Highway on the Tanner Medical Center campus. The new 16,370 sq/ft facility is being built using SPLOST dollars from Carroll County and in kind services from the Douglas County Board of Commissioners, state and regional library system grants, and in conjunction with The city of Villa Rica and The West Georgia Regional Library System. The new facility is expected to open in June of 2016.
