Carroll County Schools Hosts ESOL Meet and Greet

(Carrollton, Ga. – October 13, 2015) The Carroll County Schools ESOL Department hosted an ESOL Overview Meet and Greet on September 24. Parents, students, teachers, and school administrators had an opportunity to discuss pertinent information regarding the ESOL program and educational topics relative to student achievement and graduation. Some of the topics discussed included the following: ESOL Qualifications and Services, Infinite Campus, Georgia Standards of Excellence, Graduation Requirements, Georgia Milestones, Student Attendance, and Parental Involvement. The parents were informed of upcoming parent involvement opportunities and were provided ways that they could become more involved in their child’s school.

The ESOL Department will host a Literacy Night for ESOL Parents on November 15, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at the Carroll County Board of Education.
