An exciting casual dining restaurant is set to open in Carrollton at 1435 Highway 27 South. Five Guys Burgers and Fries is slated to open inside a new multi-use development that will feature three restaurants and one retail spot.
The City Menus connected with the official Five Guys Facebook page, who confirmed that the new location would be part of a restaurant and retail development at the property and noted that the restaurant is expected to open in early 2019. Five Guys promptly responded to questions regarding the new location and highlighted that the company is excited to expand into the Carrollton area.
The new restaurant is the latest addition to one of Carrollton’s fastest growing areas. The new Five Guys will be located directly across from Steak & Shake and near hotels and other restaurants that have opened in recent years. The location will be near two other upcoming restaurants near Walmart on Highway 27. The Little Donkey is slated to open in the coming months, and one other popular chain restaurant has plans to open a new location in the building that formerly housed Lenny’s Filling Station next to Moe’s Southwest Grill. ***Please note: Chicken Salad Chick is Open, WNB Factory will be opening soon in the former Radio Shack. According to documents obtained by The City Menus, the new Five Guys restaurant will be located on the western side of the building, facing Highway 27.
Hayley Beaver, Engineering and Planning of Carrollton, said the shopping center development had been discussed for several months, however at the time there was no mention of Five Guys Burgers & Fries. Beaver noted that no specific construction plans for the development have been submitted yet. ***Please note: Construction Plans submitted per our October 23rd, 2018 update
Five Guys, an American fast-casual dining restaurant that focuses on hamburgers, hotdogs, and french fries, has more than 1,500 locations throughout the United States.
Five Guys was founded in 1986 by Janie and Jerry Murrell. The couple named their new burger restaurant after their father and four sons, “Five Guys.” Since then, the Murrell brothers have continued to oversee operations at each one of the restaurant chain locations.
Attempts to contact representatives from Ackerman Retail, a company handling the project, were unsuccessful by press time. We will add their additional comments once received.
