Adriana & LB’s Arcade Brings Family Entertainment to Carrollton

Just in time for the heat of summer AGW Ice Cream, in Carrollton, is opening their newly expanded arcade along with more parking and seating space on July first. This family-friendly shop known for having over 65 ice cream flavors has been adding yet another family fun destination on property.

After celebrating their ninth year in business in April, they started renovations on a building next door, and “the goal is to have this done by the 10th anniversary,” said Mitch White, AGW Ice Cream owner. “One of [the] biggest complaints that we’ve had over the years is parking.” The demolition of the neighboring house will in the future double the parking. The parlor is ready to bring customers in for ice cream and good-old-arcade fun!

The arcade, proudly named after White’s daughters, Adriana & LB’s Arcade, will have a total of 30 arcade games. With a “full-fledged arcade” offering pinball machines, Atari game systems, redemption games, and even kiddie rides out front, there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy. The arcade games previously used tokens but are now pay-to-play with a card system. Older games start at 50 cents, newer games are around a dollar, and all you need to continue is another 50 cents. The family-friendly shop plans to have a candy wall and tons of concession options, including pizza and nachos in the new space. Adults 21 and over will have beer and wine options available very soon.

One of the challenges that the ice cream shop has faced is food costs as prices have gone up 25 percent for them. Currently, a scoop of ice cream is $4, and a junior scoop is $3. But keep an eye out early next year as the shop promises a 10-year anniversary special. During this time the shop will have special pricing and sell ice cream at the price that it was when the shop first opened: one dollar. White also mentioned that with the expanded venue, AGW Ice Cream is also looking to expand its staff and hire more college-aged people from the community.

AGW Ice Cream is open seven days a week from noon to 10:00 p.m. Expect a retro 90s-styled arcade outfitted with black lights and colorful splatter paint all over. Starting in October the ice cream parlor will be closed Monday and Tuesday, but the arcade addition will still be open for normal hours and will be available for private events and birthday parties.

The shop closes down for the season the Sunday before Christmas and fully reopens in February. Find AGW Ice Cream at 201 Newnan Road, Carrollton, Georgia, 30117.
