LaGrange Mayor Willie T. Edmondson is set to host his inaugural Mayor’s Christmas Ball on Saturday, December 9th. Proceeds from this event will go to support the local youth.
The event will be held at the new Oakfuskee Conservation Center at Pyne Road Park and will feature Grammy Award-winning artist Regina Belle singing Christmas favorites as well as her legendary hits.
Attendees are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy to the event to be given to Troup County children for Christmas. Proceeds of the event will go to scholarships for local young people.
“I hope the community will join me for this special evening to unite our community and invest in our future – our young people,” said Mayor Willie T. Edmondson. “We also want our young people to know we support them and what better way to do that than to provide toys and scholarships. I can’t think of a better time to host this wonderful cause than during the holiday season. We invite the entire community to join us in celebrating our young people!”
Mayor Edmondson also intends to honor former mayors and council members who have served the City of LaGrange.
The community is invited to participate. For more information about the inaugural LaGrange Mayor’s Christmas Ball 2023 and ticket information, go to www.lagrangemayorsball.com.
