Steve Cromer, Vice President of Economic Development, has been selected to represent West Georgia Technical College (WGTC) in the Technical College System of Georgia’s (TCSG) 2024 Senior Leadership Academy. The year-long program is designed to provide continued professional development initiatives that are tailored to cultivate career progression within TCSG and its network of 22 affiliated colleges across Georgia.
Participants of the academy will learn operational and administrative responsibilities of TSCG, along with meeting with educational sector leaders, such as the TCSG Commissioner, college presidents, State Board members, legislators, and industry partners. These engagements aim to offer crucial insights and cultivate collaborative relationships throughout TCSG.
“This program is a crucial step towards cultivating a culture of continuous learning and leadership development within the Technical College System of Georgia,” Dr. Alvetta Thomas, President, Executive Leadership Academy and Talent Initiatives said in a press release by TCSG. “By providing our participants with comprehensive training and exposure to a variety of critical areas, we are not only enhancing their individual capabilities but also ensuring that our colleges continue to lead in innovation and excellence. The Senior Leadership Academy is poised to develop leaders who are not just ready for tomorrow but are equipped to shape the future of technical education in Georgia.”
