Fastenal, a leader in the wholesale distribution of industrial and construction supplies, announced today that it is has identified a greenfield site in Carrollton to build its
new Southeast US distribution and supply chain center. The project will represent a roughly $90-million investment within the community.
Fastenal will be using the site to replace a legacy distribution center in the Atlanta metro area with a new state-of-the-art distribution center. With the large land acquisition, the new facility will be able to support Fastenal branches and customers throughout the Southeast for decades to come as the company continues to grow. Fastenal, which already operates a local sales branch in Carrollton, anticipates that the facility will employ around 280 people.
“We’re excited for the community to really get to know who Fastenal is,” said Will Roedeske, Fastenal’s Vice President of Distribution. “At the heart of it, we are a people-centered organization with a goal of Growth Through Customer Service. This means continuously investing in our service capabilities;
investing in (and creating opportunities for) our ‘Blue Team’; and also investing in the communities in which we operate.”
Fastenal’s decision to expand its presence in Carroll County is the culmination of close collaboration among the City of Carrollton, Carroll Tomorrow, and the Carrollton Payroll Development Authority. The accomplishment is in line with these entities’ commitment to drive economic progress and well- being in the community.
“I am excited to welcome Fastenal and their investment to our community,” said Betty Cason, Mayor of Carrollton. “Not only will their presence enrich our local economy, but the creation of well-paying jobs exemplifies their commitment to our residents. This partnership symbolizes a bright future of prosperity and growth for all.”
“I am thrilled Fastenal has chosen to expand their operation here,” said Michelle Morgan, Chair of the Carroll County Board of Commissioners. “Their emphasis on community partnerships positions them as a valuable neighbor and contributor to our community.”
“Fastenal’s strategic growth plan will yield long-term advantages for Carroll County. Beyond introducing their thriving business, Fastenal demonstrates a dedication to our community,” stated Tim Warren, Chair of the Carrollton Payroll Development Authority. “The Carrollton Payroll Development Authority aims to support the company’s expansion in Carrollton and beyond. We are fully prepared to aid them in their long-range plans and capital enhancements.”

This milestone represents a significant investment in our county,” added Loy Howard, Chair of the Board for Carroll Tomorrow. “The primary objective of Carroll Tomorrow is to attract high-quality jobs and new investments to the community, and Fastenal’s establishment of this supply chain center perfectly defines
our mission.”
