After seven successful years of owning a thrift shop in Carrolton, Stacy and Christopher Ford brought the Lost Treasure Emporium to Newnan. The store opened on September fifth.
“We actually own another store in Carrollton, and we’ve just outgrown that. So we’ve just decided to look for a new location… a little bigger,” says Stacy.
The store offers a diverse selection, ranging from antiques and thrift finds to clothes and collectibles. “We’ve got a little bit of everything,” Stacy says. The items are sourced from a variety of places including storage units, yard sales, and estate sales.
Their journey to thrifting came about because they felt things were slow at their previous jobs, “[W]e were both kind of tired of working dead-end jobs…so we ventured out into thrifting,” said Stacy. “Started out little, at the flea market every weekend…. And then it just kept growing bigger. So we decided to get a store, and we opened up the store, and it’s done well.”
The couple is grateful to the community and look forward to seeing their customers. “We’ve got good people around us. Everybody’s advertising for us, if they can, sharing and telling people,” said Stacy. “We would love to express our gratitude for everyone helping and getting the word out, and we’d love to see everybody.”
Customers can expect new items weekly with opening hours Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 A. M. to 5:00 P. M. at 680 North Highway 29 in Newnan. Or keep up to date on Facebook.
