The Vintage Peacock, a well-loved antique shop serving the West Georgia community, has announced its transition to new ownership. On Nov. 26, longtime operator Judy Willis transferred ownership to Leah and Emma Swales, a mother-daughter team and lifelong Carrollton residents with a strong background in antique curation.
Located at 331 Bankhead Hwy, Carrollton, Ga., the Vintage Peacock will continue to operate under its established name and uphold its reputation for offering quality vintage finds. Emma and Leah bring over three years of antique-dealing experience from their successful booth, Four Leaf Finds, located within Apple Barrel Antiques of Bremen. The new owners acquired the business along with its full inventory and plan to further enhance the store’s offerings by incorporating selections from their personal collection.
“We are honored to carry forward the welcoming, timeless charm that Judy cultivated,” said co-owner Emma Swales. “As longtime Carrollton residents, we look forward to expanding the store’s reach and continuing to make the Vintage Peacock a cherished destination for the community.”
Current store hours, Thursday–Friday 10 a.m.–6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.–6 p.m., will remain for now. However, the Swales plan to extend store hours in the near future to provide more opportunities for customers to explore the shop’s unique assortment of antiques and collectibles.
To celebrate the new ownership, the Vintage Peacock will host a Christmas Open House on Saturday, December 6. Guests can enjoy free coffee and snacks, browse refreshed displays and meet Emma and Leah.
