The Kiwanis High School Art and Music Showcase exhibition opened January 20 at the Carrollton Center for the Arts, celebrating the work of Carroll County high school students.
“I am always fascinated by the ideas coming from our community’s young artists,” said Visual Arts Coordinator Marcella Kuykendall. “You see students not only experimenting with media in interesting ways but also working out how to best express the stories they are passionate about.”
Sponsored by the Carrollton Kiwanis Club, the annual High School Art and Music Showcase explores the complexity of contemporary life for teens through intriguing, exciting and insightful works.
The music showcase will be held at the arts center on February 8 starting at 6pm.
The exhibit runs through February 26.
