At the end of January Quiznos established a restructuring deal with lenders. This new deal will grant ownership of the chain to Avenue Capital Group. Most importantly this deal will keep Quiznos out of bankruptcy court. This deal will revitalize Quiznos because Avenue Capital Group will invest $150 million into Quiznos. Not only will they invest money but they will also covert debt to equity. Both Quiznos and Avenue Capital Group are excited about the future and look forward to the future. I believe this will help the company to re-estbalish themselves. It is no secret that Quiznos has competition when it comes to sandwich shops nationally and locally. For example, Quiznos is one of the many sandwich shops in Carrollton. Other sandwich places include Subway, Firehouse, and Highland Deli on the square. Doug Hines the owner of the Quiznos in McIntosh Plaza reassured the Carrollton Menu that they are NOT going anywhere. Here is what owner Doug Hines said “Quiznos in Carrollton is not going anywhere. This restructure process at the Corporate level is a great move! The agreement which has been reached will strengthen the balance sheet and allow us to strengthen our brand and customer experience. This plan has been in the works for months, and has finally reached the agreement stage.” I have not visited Quiznos in quite awhile but their prices are very competitive with Subway and others. Give Quiznos a try and support them.
