Grading and site preparation are underway for West Georgia Technical College’s Athletics Complex off Esco Way in Carrollton. Esco Way is located directly between Robison’s Salvage and Fuel Tech. Drive down Esco just a little bit and 100+ acres of soon to be cleared land will greet you. The City of Carrollton committed this property just off Bankhead Hwy for the construction of this massive project. It was also supported by the Carroll County Commission. The first phase of the athletics complex would include a baseball field, softball field and a practice football field. Dr. Sullivan said, “We continue to work with the City of Carrollton and Carroll County toward construction of an athletic complex just off Bankhead Highway east of Carrollton. As we continue to build our athletic programs, it becomes more and more essential for the Golden Knights to have home fields and home courts. We are very pleased that the City of Carrollton and Carroll County have agreed that they want to be the Home of the Golden Knights.” Look for more pictures and developments soon.
