Mayor Rudy Rooks, the City of Heflin Council, Senator Randy Price and the Industrial Development Board is excited to announce Loves Travel Center has entered into a land agreement contract on approximately 20 acres located on the west bound exit 205 exit ramp on I-20.
Over the next few months the City of Heflin will be working to finalize a development agreement that will assist the Franchise to build a service center with at least one fast food franchise as well as its franchised tire service business.
“I am excited that Love’s Travel Stop has decided to open a station in Heflin. This will bring economic development to Heflin and also encourage even more economic growth. As your Senator I will continue to work with local leaders to bring jobs and recruit businesses to our district. I have enjoyed working closely with the leadership at Love’s and telling them why Heflin is a perfect location to call home,” said Senator Randy Price.
Mayor Rudy Rooks stated, “A Loves Travel Stop will be a huge boost to our local economy. Increased interstate traffic at the 205 exit will help increase sales tax for the whole City. I want to thank Senator Price and the City’s Economic and Industrial Board for working with me and the Council over the past several months to ensure this project became a reality.”
The Loves development will be an approximate $12 million investment and is expected to create over thirty jobs for the community.
