Local students from Bowdon Elementary and Bowdon Middle School will take the stage in an upcoming production of Mary Poppins Jr. at the University of West Georgia’s Townsend Center for the Performing Arts.
The performances, scheduled for April 2 and 3, will feature approximately 85 students bringing the beloved musical to life through song and dance. Audience members can expect to hear classic songs such as “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,” “A Spoonful of Sugar,” “Feed the Birds,” “Jolly Holiday,” and “Step in Time.”
The family-friendly production promises an evening of entertainment as young performers showcase their talents in a show that is sure to be “practically perfect.”
Both performances will begin at 7 p.m. at the Townsend Center for the Performing Arts at the University of West Georgia.
