Clothes Less Traveled (CLT), the nonprofit thrift shops dedicated to enriching lives across the local community, proudly announces the reinvestment of $333,000 in annual grants to 74 charities serving Fayette and Coweta Counties.
This milestone reflects the continued growth of CLT’s mission and the powerful impact of community support. Every donation dropped off, every hour volunteered, and every purchase made in-store directly fuels life-changing programs across the region.
Executive Director Hope Brown shared her appreciation for the community’s role in this achievement:
“This year’s grant total is a testament to what happens when a community comes together with purpose. Every shopper, donor, and volunteer plays a direct role in strengthening the nonprofits that serve our neighbors every day.”
Volunteer Board Chair Barbara Harrison emphasized the broader impact of CLT’s partnerships:
“We are incredibly proud to support 74 organizations this year, but our commitment goes far beyond financial funding. By partnering with over 80 nonprofits, promoting their services, and supporting their operations, we are building a stronger, more connected community together.”
The 2026 grants support a wide range of needs, including food security, housing assistance, healthcare access, education, environmental stewardship, and support for vulnerable populations. These contributions ensure that critical programs across Fayette and Coweta Counties can continue to grow and serve those in need.
CLT’s grantmaking includes Annual Grants awarded through an application process, as well as ongoing Service Award Grants distributed throughout the year by staff and volunteers. As a result, the total amount given and the number of charities supported in 2026 will continue to increase in the months ahead.
In addition to financial contributions, CLT provides in-kind donations, free promotional support, and collaborative opportunities through community events, further extending its impact beyond monetary giving.
Since opening its doors in 1997, Clothes Less Traveled has remained committed to its mission of sharing God’s love through community reinvestment. With more than $9.5 million given back to local nonprofits to date, CLT continues to serve as a vital resource for both shoppers and the organizations it supports. For more information about Clothes Less Traveled and its community impact, visit: https://www.clotheslesstraveled.org
