Construction is officially underway for a new Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream location at Ashley Park in Newnan.
The new ice cream shop will be located within the Shoppes at Ashley Park, directly across from Taco Mama. In recent weeks, we noticed a construction barrier go up in the center median of the parking area as crews begin preparing the site for the new building. Now the sign is up that says, “scooping soon”.
From what we can tell, the Newnan location will have a similar look and layout to the Jeni’s at Avalon in Alpharetta and the location at Pepper Place in Birmingham.
An opening date has not been announced yet, but we’re excited to see construction moving forward.
Jeni’s is also working on another new location at The Avenue Peachtree City. That shop will take over the former Souls by LT space, which previously sold women’s clothing and shoes.
We’ll keep you posted as soon as we learn more about opening dates for both locations.
