At the May 5th called Board of Education meeting, Katie Derringer was approved and announced as the Assistant Principal for Bremen Academy and Bremen Middle School. Ms. Derringer will begin her new role in July.
Ms. Derringer has 24 years of experience and has been employed by Bremen City Schools since 2017. She has previously worked in the Douglas County School System at a traditional and charter school campus. She is currently the kindergarten team lead teacher at Jones Elementary School.
Ms. Derringer has a bachelor’s degree from Furman University, a Master’s degree from Central Michigan University and earned her leadership tier one certification from the University of West Georgia.
Katie and her husband, Dax, are the parents of three children, Brody, Baden, and Marley.
